Beef Stew
2 pounds lean meat, cubed
2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1 bay leaf
2 cups water
6 carrots
6 onions
6 potatoes
Roll meat in flour and brown in heavy sauce pan. Add tomato sauce, salt, thyme, bay leaf, water, and pepper. Cook slowly until almost done. Add carrots, onions, and potatoes and cook until tender.
