Mama Morris’s Cranberry Conserve
I think this is one of the best cranberry dishes ever, and it's so easy. Once you make it, you will be hooked forever!
What You Need
1/2 pound fresh cranberries (1 bag)
1/2 cup water*
1/2 cup sugar
1 can mandarin oranges (pour off juice and save)*
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 medium sized Rome apple, peeled and chopped (If you can't find a Rome apple, use your favorite apple instead).
Cook first three ingredients until cranberries pop. Add oranges, walnuts, and apple. Stir and let stand. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
* You may use the juice in place of the water. That's what we do at our house!
