Butterscotch Brownies
1/4 cup butter, melted and hot
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 inch square baking dish. Mix hot butter with sugar; cool. Add egg and mix. Sift in dry ingredients; stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread in prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until slight imprint remains when lightly touched. Cut while slightly warm.
