Anise Cookies

What You Need

4 large eggs
2 cups sugar
4 cups flour (about)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 tablespoon anise seed
1 teaspoon vanilla
Salt (pinch)

Here's How

Beat eggs until very thick. Add sugar and continue to beat. Add butter, anise seed, and vanilla Sift flour with baking powder and salt and add to the above mixture. When the dough makes a fairly thick batter, use your hands and make into a ball. (If it is sticky, add a little flour. Place in refrigerator and chill.

Roll out and cut into thin cookies. Lay out overnight in a cool room. Bake in a 350-degree oven until slightly brown. (Watch closely to insure that they are not over baked.)
