A "Micro Bio" of Glen
A "Micro Bio" of Glen
In February 1999, after contributing 32 1/2 years of my life, I decided I had done my part as an educator and retired from teaching. I decided there had to be more to life!

My hobbies are gardening, computing, cooking, photography, and wine tasting.  As you can see from this web site, I enjoy all kinds of food!

Yes, I would recommend early retirement whenever possible! Life is good!

I was born and raised on a farm in Southeastern Oklahoma. After graduating from Gerty High School, I attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma where I received a B.S. in Education in 1964. I later earned a Masters Degree in Education at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ.

Shortly after graduating, I moved to Southern California to begin a teaching carreer which lasted 32 1/2 years.  Unfortunately, those years were interrupted by 2 years in the military, including a year in Vietnam.

In the meantime, in 1970, I married Janyce Raye Bierig in Okeene, Oklahoma. In November 1979, our daughter, Glenda, was born in Irvine, California where we reside at the present time.
